Our main research focus is the investigation of ultrafast electron dynamics in solids, at surfaces and in small quantum systems using light sources like the free-electron lasers FLASH at DESY in Hamburg, the Linac Coherent Light Source LCLS in Stanford or FERMI in Trieste. Dr. Hanno Scheife studied Physics at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and at Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine, London, UK. He graduated from the University of Hamburg in 1997. From 1997 until 2001, he successfully pursued a PhD at the Institut für Laser-Physik of the University of Hamburg under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Günter Huber.
